Light rain and snow this morning.

The snow is melting, but the sun still hiding behind the grey clouds. We're waiting for the warmer Spring, the cold weather and the low temperature in the days loose our hope though... It has been a long cold season here in Brookings.

Blog review: Tip Asas Fotografi

I started to read this blog since two days ago, and I really glad that I found the URL. A really good blog for a beginner like me to learn about photography world. The writer shared his experiences and knowledge on fundamentals of photography.

The blog is written by Mr. Noorizam Sabran (Ijam), one of photographer in Malaysia.

Thank you so much for your useful and simple tips and informations. It really help me to fully utilize my dslr camera. The articles were written in Malay language, and it ease me a lot (maklum lah, saya ni tak berapa paham sangat bahasa owang putih ni, kalau bercerita pasal kamera and fotografi! mmmmm)... ^^'

Jalan-jalan cari 'American Robin!'

This is one of my robins' shots. Lovely isn't it? American Robin is a migratory songbird in State. Get more information of the bird in wikipedia.org.

We noticed a group of 'uninvited' guest at our backyard this afternoon. I was so excited to see robins there. They were lingering on the grass searching for food, probably. When I aimed the camera with my zoom lens, and get ready with the shutter, a bunch of them flew in front of me and rested on the trees nearby. What a surprised!  Subhanallah! I had a great time capturing them.

It was hard to snap their pictures because they were very sensitive to even a single movement. So, I need to sneak slowly to get close to them for a better shot. Guest what, I cannot even be one step closer. Luckily I have my telephoto lens so I no need to be too close to them. I wish I can stand like a statue and wait for them to come to me :) but weather was my enemy. It was too cold even to leave my fingers gloves-off to hit the shutter. Wondering, how the robins can stand the weather. Huh can't wait for summer.

However, it was too cold outside but luckily the robins take the stage today and I tried my best to capture them.

Mama's junior!

She just loves to disturb me when I'm working with the computer. She always wants to play with the keyboard and the optical mouse.

Sometimes, I'm not sure what is she looking for from my computer. As I know she just wants to get my attention and asked me to play with her.

Poor Aliya, she doesn't has friends to play with.

Blog review: 30 mosques in 30 days

 

A very good blog about two friend's journey to 30 mosques, in 30 days and at 30 states during fasting month last year. I had a great experience reading their writing. Their articles gives a brief picture of what's life about to be a Muslim in the US. I doesn't read all the articles yet, insyaAllah, i'll do it soon.

Mirror

Aliya always mimicking our acts. She didn't miss a thing, and will always follow mama and papa behaviors. So, we need to behave in every actions we do.

Our pediatrician told us, our child's discipline need to be build as early as one year old because it will be harder as the age increase.

In these few days, Aliya can say some new words, such as dhudhu (susu), oh mannn (dia tiru dari citer Dora), pish (fish), tongue (dan dia akan keluarkan lidah), nak nak (tak nak), no, nah, nak and 'uk-uk'. ^^

Today is my birthday!

26 years back, my mom was struggling with the pains to deliver me. I really thankful for her loves and hardship that make what I am now. The greatest birthday gift I ever had is being a daughter to the most wonderful, beautiful and kind mom in the whole world! ^^

It is nothing special for my birthday in this twenty eleven year. There are no cake, no candles, and no celebration either. Perhaps i'll received a bouquet of red rose from my husband after he come back from work later.

One more year old makes me so nervous and repents. How many years left for me to live in this Allah's land. How many days can I learn to be a good Muslim. How many minutes can I spend my time with my loves one. How many seconds can I breath and zikr to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala and Rasulullah Sallallaho Alaihe Wassalam. Ya Allah, how fast the time is.

The one year plus, means the one year short of my life.

Thanks to all my family and friends for the birthday wishes and prays.

I watched 'secret millionaire' show just now with my husband.

The Secret Millionaire is about wealthy millionaire people who leave behind their luxury life and go out secretly into some of the poorest areas in the US. After experiencing the hardship of unfortunate people in the neighborhoods, they will reward some money to people who voluntarily helping the survival of their community.

I'm so touched! Seriously, I burst with tears when they accepted a 'thousands dollar' check.
